Sodium lauroyl glutamate is an amino acid anionic surfactant synthesized by chemical reaction of lauric acid and glutamate obtained from corn fermentation. The product is in white or off-white powder and particles, with slight characteristic odor. It is mild and will produce exquisite foam, mostly used for moisturizing facial cleanser or body washing products.

Sodium lauroyl glutamate is natural and mild. Besides its good surface properties, it has low irritation to skin and will not cause allergy and toxicity.

It has excellent foaming properties in a wide range of pH value (pH 5.0-9.0).
